K&Q Sound Genesis was established in 2008 as an LLC dedicated to designing and building premium loudspeakers and tube-based amplifiers. Although our name is new, our depth of experience encompasses more than thirty years.
Our founder, Quoc Nguyenngoc, received his formal education, both undergraduate and graduate, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). As an undergraduate, he had the opportunity to work with Dr. Amar Bose, famous for his research in speaker design. Quoc’s graduate work led to a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and ultimately, to a position as Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at AT&T’s internationally recognized Bell Laboratories.
Quoc’s informal education in all things audio began at the age of 5 and the production of beautiful music quickly became his avocation. His many experiments with audio amplifiers and loudspeakers led him to an in-depth understanding of how design impacts sound and culminated in a personal design philosophy that emphasizes delicacy of tone and totally natural sound.

Quoc has designed very high end, one-of-a-kind, custom loudspeakers and tube-based amplifiers and has built a circle of diverse clients that are loyal to his products. However, with the foundation of K&Q Sound Genesis, he is shifting his focus from this very high end market to that of audiophiles seeking breath taking sound with a beautiful aesthetic, but at a significantly more affordable price.
The Model 1 planar loudspeaker and Model 2 tube-based amplifier are the first in a series of these new products. We are very excited about our new direction and look forward to introducing you to the amazing sound that is K&Q Sound Genesis.
