K&Q Sound Genesis Model 2 direct heated triode amplifier is an all-transformer coupled, zero feedback, single ended design. It is optimized for our Model 1 Full Range Planar and other high efficiency speakers. The amplifier is designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.

Unique among commercial amplifiers, the Model 2 DHT amplifier uses:

A Western Electric 300B direct heated triode to drive a Western Electric 300B output tube. Direct heated triodes are famous for their incredibly transparent sound.

Top grade Lundahl and Electra-Pint transformers to couple the signal between amplification stages. There are no sound degrading coupling capacitors in the signal path. Transformer coupling gives the Model 2 magical tones and a unique sound signature.

High quality audiophile passive components; Mundorf silver in oil film capacitors, ASC oil capacitors, Mills MRA cathode resistors, Mundorf MOS power resistors, MIL-specs solid core silver plated OFC hookup wire, CARDAS pure copper binding posts, etc.

Built in electro-magnetic filtering to clean up noises on the AC main line from ubiquitous digital electronic equipment. Built in high precision 10-turn volume controls to allow a purist direct connection to a CD player, bypassing the traditional preamplifier.

A massive stainless steel chassis with constrained layer damping
